Setup in a warehouse in New York city, the event floor plan was designed in two distinct phases, an intro projection hallway and a main circular projection area. Entering in the first straight hallway, guests were presented with a darker area and large projection surfaces telling the story of current plastic manufacturing waste. As they next moved forward into the brighter main area, they were surrounded by multiple circular projection bands, representing the circular recyclable nature of the product. Here in this space guests witnessed the product reveal and keynote speeches. Throughout the event, we created large scale animation and visual content that was beamed to all surfaces via a large series of interconnected projectors.
The art direction concept for the project
is based around the up and down elevation across the Canary Islands and the idea
of 'crossing' from one island to the next.
The typography and images have been arranged using vertical movement to mimic the vast changes in height across the landscapes. The pages also make use of a strong horizontal center line, creating a top
and bottom section which the eye crosses between.
